On Wednesday, church founder Robert H. Schuller said he strongly disapproved of the covenant because it goes against what he has built his church upon.On second thought, perhaps no further comment is necessary, assuming most readers here have a decent knowledge of the Bible and what it says about who builds the church upon what.
"The vocation of the Church is to be a community where as far as possible disagreement does not exist because truth is known, accepted and celebrated." (Martin Davie)

Whose church is it, anyway?
Joe Carter sees Neuhaus' Law at work in a controversy at the famous (or infamous) Crystal Cathedral. I'm not going to waste anyone's time restating the traditional biblical view of marriage and sexuality, nor am I going to comment one way or the other on the appropriateness of Robert Schuller's daughter succeeding her father as senior pastor. What I am going to make a little hay over is this brief paragraph about the elder Schuller's opposition to the so-called "sex covenant" (emphasis added).
