South Carolina endorses Jerusalem Declaration, accepts provisional oversight from Global South

Bishop Lawrence
Delegates to the 223rd Convention of the Diocese of South Carolina enthusiastically endorsed the Jerusalem Declaration, becoming an official  partner in the Global Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans, and accepted an offer of provisional primatial oversight from the Global South Primates Steering Committee on Saturday. The actions send a clear signal that the diocese is moving ahead with its vision of "Creating Biblical Anglicans for a Global Age," having been liberated from the cumbersome apostasy of the national Episcopal Church.

While still in a process of discernment concerning a permanent provincial home, the diocese can now claim official recognition by the Anglican Communion's largest global body and genuine fellowship with Anglican Christians worldwide who confess unequivocally their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Bishop Mark Lawrence delivered an uplifting address to the convention, the full text of which will be posted when it becomes available.
