More good news: Moore elected head of SBC Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission

First Thoughts via Al Mohler is reporting Dr. Russell D. Moore has been elected the new president of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission. This is an excellent move on the part of the SBC. Moore succeeds Richard Land, who headed the ERLC for a quarter century and was known for his outspoken views on social issues. In recent years, he had become something of a blowhard and a liability. Moore is articulate and gracious, but unswerving in his commitment to the Christian faith and its traditional values. He will be quite an improvement.
