Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali will lead the daily Bible studies, and the Bishops will also participate in sessions with a professional consultant who will help the group maximize effectiveness and build relationships. The business agenda will include discussions regarding specific issues as well as reports of various task forces. These items will include overlapping dioceses, the catechism, the Theological Task Force on Holy Orders, the Prayer Book and Ecumenical Relations. In addition, the bishops will consider and vote on receiving and electing new bishops. As always, the agenda allows for worship, fellowship and times of refreshments.
Archbishop Duncan urges clergy and laity of the province to pray for the Holy Spirit to guide and direct the various sessions, for unity in the bonds of peace and for wisdom and discernment.
Direct us, O Lord, in all our doings with thy most gracious favor, and further us with thy continual help; that in all our works begun, continued, and ended in thee, we may glorify thy holy Name, and finally, by thy mercy, obtain everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
